Freemantle, Perth for a day
The waves were terrible and we had a late night flight so we decided to check out Freemantle, Perth with Damien Fahrenfort. Good times!!
Thanksgiving
The American’s love a holiday, and Thanksgiving is their favourite. The day is all about relaxing with friends and family, eating amazing food and of course, giving thanks. It was a sick day, because we relaxed with friends, had a huge feast, gave thanks, had a good time, and had some good waves!

Bali. Bye-bye…..
Tomorrow is my last day in Bali. Very sad to be leaving – I’ve had an amazing time. Back to Europe, back to grovel mode. Did I mention that this has been like one of the best trips ever?!
Round and Round we Go……..
.
The web surf predictions sent us up and down the Garden Route hoping to catch some epic waves….we missed everything….too early, too late, wrong predictions, eech. Only “Surfline” had it right. Next time……
Last Day In Western Australia

West Aus is a really special place and definitely one of my favourite spots in the world. It’s really sad to leave the place…. My last day was so fun and eventful it made leaving even worse. Had a really fun surf at Big Rock, saw Damien Hobgood take out the mens event and Courtney Conologue take out the womens event, sat on the porch with Matt Bromley while the sun was setting and remembered the good times…….
Maldives………..faces
One day on our recent boat trip, I decided to follow Greg Ewing around while he took lifestyle shots on a local island. The locals were really friendly and allowed us to shoot some portrait’s of them. Thanks again for an epic trip Sheriff!

Good times on a boat in the Maldives……during the filming of Jason Hearn’s movie “15Below”. Good crew, Woods brothers James and Thomas, Staples brothers Dane and Dale, Nick Godfrey, Brendon Gibbens, Mikey February, myself. Jason did the filming and Alan did the photos for Zigzag.
Hawaii
Firstly, well done to my house mate Heath Joske on making the final at Haleiwa. Joel Parkinson won, but Heathy (with the best Mustache for Movember in my books) did us all proud, surfing from round 1.
We have had some really good waves lately. Been surfing a lot. It’s been good. Thanks to Sasha ‘Spex’ Specker for the surf shots!!
Hawaii
Hawaii has been fun so far. Today is unbelievably dead flat, but there have been some waves around. Pretty frothed out on the swim I had with Dale checking out the dreaded reef at Pipe/Backdoor. If it’s possible, I am more scared than ever before of the place.
Bye Bye Canaries
The Canaries was good – good waves, good times. I am in San Francisco on my way to Hawaii right now. Can’t wait to see all my friends I have been hanging with or haven’t seen in a while. Well, I am excited to say the least.

This was a surf we had before the event (5* Canaries). The waves were pretty bad, but still fun. I really like this wave!
From One Extreme To The Next
From the laid-back town of Famara (Lanzarote) to the hustle-and-bustle city life of Las Palmas (Gran Canaria). Two complete opposites, in everything but waves – they both have pretty amazing waves, which makes both destinations enjoyable.
Caleta De Famara….
My time in Famara has come to an end, but I still have lots to look forward to, because apparently the next contest in Gran Canaries also has amazing waves! I enjoyed my time at this little seaside village and I can’t wait to come back next year…. Out
Santa Cruz
Been in Santa Cruz, California for 2 days now. Been hanging with Brendon and Davey (travel partner for the trip). It’s a really weird place, with odd (to say the least) people, but the wave, Steamer Lane is really fun, which makes me very exited for the contest, the O’niell Coldwater Classic. Oh and it’s cold!!

After the contest we had a good run of waves for a day or two and then like all things in life, it just stopped. So most days we just cruised and enjoyed life in Bali – how could you not enjoy life in Bali!?
On our last day there we took a sail boat to Lembongan Island for the day with the Billabong Team…… Good times.
Bali – Oakley Pro Junior Day 4
Dale spent some quality time in the tube this morning – as he usually does……
I also managed to get barreled. And do a turn. And snap a good board (sad face).
Started off having an early surf at Kerammas today, which was cut a bit short when I was informed I had to surf my round 3 heat – I made it, stoked…. Beyrick surfed an amazing heat, but unfortunately couldn’t get a back-up wave. Chad, Dale and Brendon get to surf their round 3 heats at Kerammas, I’m pretty jealous hahaha…..

These photo’s were taken in the free-surf next to the contest site today at Canggu. Round 1 and half of round 2 has been completed. The waves have been firing. The level of surfing has been sky-high and over all it’s been good to be part of the contest so far. Oh, and all the SA boys are still going which is sick!!!
Bali
So we are in Bali for the Oakley Pro Junior World Champs stop 1 of 2. I have nothing bad to say about Bali, this place is paradise! I just wish my aircon would work, cause it’s HOT! We have had some waves and me and Dale are staying in 5* accommodation…… Life is good……
It’s Gone……..
I’ve seen France, Portugal and Spain. Driven 6000km is 5 weeks. Surfed a lot of different breaks. Surfed lots of contests. Got a contest cancelled. Got frustrated. Laughed, smiled and enjoyed. Eaten a lot of baguettes. Went on photo missions. I had an amazing time in Europe and I can’t wait to come back!!
